Hi, I’m Angela Schmitt of the North East Enterprise Region. We are your economic development organization serving the entire area around and including Tisdale, Melfort, Nipawin and Hudson Bay.
We are funded by Enterprise Saskatchewan and run by a regionally elected Board of Directors.
We are working on getting to know the needs of existing businesses, ways to attract new business and how to develop entrepreneurs from our region.
Our staff have been travelling all over the northeast this winter interviewing over 200 businesses. From the information we have received we will be able to fine-tune some of the existing needs of our valued employers.
We have completed another project that will assist investors coming to our region and will be coordinating workshops planned for frontline workers to increase their customer service. In addition we are hosting a significant youth event planned to promote entrepreneurship.
